The More You Share, the More Accurate Your Free Estimate!
While our online estimates provide a great starting point, the more details you provide, the more precise your preliminary cost range can be. Here’s how including some additional information can help us create a free estimate for your hardwood floor:
1. Photos
A picture is worth a thousand words! Attaching photos of the area you’d like new hardwood flooring will give us a visual understanding of the space, including its size, layout, and any existing features. This can be particularly helpful if you have unique room configurations, bulkheads, or interesting architectural details.
2. Architectural Plans
If you have existing architectural plans for your space, feel free to share them with us! These plans can provide valuable details about the layout, square footage, and any potential construction considerations that might impact the hardwood floor installation process.
3. Square Footage and Precise Measurements
Knowing the approximate square footage is a good starting point, but precise measurements will allow for more accurate material calculations. If you’re comfortable doing so, take detailed measurements of the space, including any odd corners, alcoves, or doorways.
4. Existing Floor Conditions
Is your current flooring carpet, tile, or existing hardwood? Knowing the type of subflooring you currently have and its condition can impact the installation process and potentially influence material needs. For example, if you have uneven or damaged subflooring, additional work may be required before installing new hardwood floors.
5. Project Scope
Are you looking for a straightforward installation of new hardwood floors, or do you have a more complex project in mind? Perhaps you’d like to refinish existing hardwood floors, add custom borders or inlays, or replace stairs and railings with beautiful hardwood. The more details you share about your project vision, the better we can understand your needs and provide a more comprehensive estimate.
6. Design Ideas
Do you have a specific wood species or stain color in mind? Sharing any inspiration photos or design ideas you have can also be helpful for our team to visualize your dream floor.
